We were having some fun playing outside today, and Caleb started playing catch, or I should say, throw. He doesn't really have the coordination to catch yet, but he's really good at throwing. Maybe he even has a future in baseball...
There are a few more pictures and movies on our Picasa site from the last few days, too. We had one really drenching rain (the only rain in a couple of weeks), and the kids really enjoyed playing in a big puddle. They found a snail, which Lydia picked up and played with for awhile. She was especially interested in the body, which was part-way out of the shell (Asher taught her the definition of slimy--"a little bit sticky, but really slippery"). Caleb got a hold of it, and also inspected the body. Then, for some reason, Lydia decided the snail was scary, and screamed at it. This freaked Caleb out. He started crying and ran inside, still holding the snail, of course. It took a little cajoling to get him to put it back outside, as he still had a firm grasp on it and wasn't even hearing us through his tears. Ah, the joys of childhood.
