A week into it

Well, we've been in our own place for about a week now, and I have to say, it's nice to have our own space.
It's kind of a strange situation. Our landlord has actually rented us her house, and she's staying with a friend while we live here. It's a nice little house with its idiosyncrasies, and it's suiting us pretty well for the time we'll be here. Great location: we're about a mile away from Asher's preschool, and a 15-minute walk to the UWSP campus, where Matt has gone to get some work done during the day.

The kids have really enjoyed getting out for walks in the neighborhood. There's a trainyard a few blocks away, and Asher loves drawing a map and going on an adventure down there (which means we walk there, look at the trains, and come back). One evening, we even met a couple of our kid neighbors, a family with 8 sisters and 1 brother. It must be rough for him!

Anyway, that's the latest for the family. I'm going to my 10-year high school class reunion tonight. I can't believe it's been 10 years! It will be interesting to see who's there...
