After an insane week of packing, cleaning, and thesis writing, followed by three insane days of driving (1100 miles total) and thesis writing, we've finally made it to the Land of Reasonable Summer Climate - also known as Wisconsin. I had forgotten that August mornings can be cool and refreshing. I (Matt) will be staying in Madison for two weeks to finish writing and defend and deposit my thesis, and Jodi and the kids will be visiting family after spending two days with some friends in Mt. Horeb. They (our friends) also have three kids, so it will be 6 kids, all five and under, bouncing around in 2,200 square feet. Should be a good time.

I have already enjoyed a bratwurst and have asked Jodi to pick up some
hurtin' habaƱero mustard from the
Mustard Museum in Mt. Horeb. Mmmm....
When I have a little more time (I am stealing precious thesis-writing seconds by making this post), I will make a list of Things I Like About Wisconsin, which I expect will mostly be a list of food you can't get in Florida.
Back to the thesis.

Hey Bud,
I'm glad to hear you made it. Brats sound absolutely scrumptious. I'm looking forward to seeing that list ( you can ad Summerfest, bubblers, and the Dells for me). I wonder if you will miss oysters, grits, or sweet tea while in Wisconsin? Best of luck with your thesis defense. Go Brewers!!!
Thanks for the suggestions, Will. You are now the second person to send me recommendations for what to add to the Wisconsin/Florida list. I think oysters and grits will make it, but probably not the sweet tea. Sorry.
