Asher update

Okay, so the past couple of days, I haven't had the time to blog, and I'm a couple of days past my goal. However, I didn't want to give up before letting you know a little more about Asher.

Asher is doing as well as always. He's really a trooper in a lot of ways. He really doesn't need to sleep quite as much as the other kids, but he dutifully goes to bed at the same time as them, which helps Caleb stay in bed. One day, he even said that his favorite part of the day is nighttime, because it's so quiet. See, we let him take some toys into bed to play with until he gets tired, which is usually between 8:00 and 9:00 pm. Last week, we even let him get a flashlight to use, so he can read or do other things. It's such a blessing, because then Caleb gets to go to sleep more easily, Asher gets some quiet alone time, and Matt and I get a bit of time alone with Faith before she settles down for the night.

He continues to do well in school. His favorite subject is science, and he said that he wants to be a scientist when he grows up. I asked him what kind and told him a few of the types. He likes to know how things work and why they happen the way they do, so he thought a physicist would be a good choice.

Star Wars, mostly the Clone Wars, is still a favorite for Asher. He plays it almost every day, and watches it pretty often. He likes to ride around the house (outside, of course!) on his scooter, and really enjoys building things with Legos. But of course, with his imagination and ingenuity, that's no surprise.
