Waiting...

Doesn't it seem that sometimes life is all just a series of waiting for the next thing? We've been waiting for the past several months to know about financing for this possible move to France, and it keeps getting put off. There's nothing new to report right now, but that's just the same as it always is. Hopefully we'll have something new in the next week or two, but that's always our hope.

What I've been learning through it all, though, is that in the waiting there is a purpose. God has a plan through all of this. He wants us to learn something--probably to lean on Him and trust Him when we can't plan past the next month. Both Matt and I are big planners, so that's been an issue, and God is patiently refining us every day in this area. Perhaps this is why we don't yet know what will happen after we leave Tallahassee for Wisconsin. Will we be back to Florida in a month, or off to southern France for the adventure of a lifetime? All I can say is, "God, YOU know what will happen. I can only do what You've asked me to do today. That's my job. (Deep breath) I'll just do my job and trust You to do Yours." Of course, some days I scream that and some days I cry it and some days I say it with utmost serenity. It's a learning curve. But, praise the Lord, He doesn't give up on me or my family, even with all our failings. He is completely trustworthy and faithful. And He will always be, even when I don't believe it. I can't rely on myself, or even my husband, but I can ALWAYS rely on HIM.

That's the catcher, isn't it? It's not about ME; it's about HIM. HE has a plan, and even though I can't see it, the point is, HE is the One who GETS to make those decisions and plans. Sounds a little scary, huh? The amazing thing is, it's really the most freeing thing you can ever know. It makes me free to live for Him today, by His grace, and not worry about tomorrow. He's got it covered.

love your blog! ^o^

It's true that life is filled of lots of waiting, because none of us know HIS plans.

I will go to Madison in 4th August.
Hope we can meet there. ^_^
